aloha terrie –

hope you are doing well.  i cannot believe it has been almost 6 months since i was in maui. i intended to send you this note months ago but time just got away from me. 

i wanted you to know how much your hard work, superior product and excitement meant to me and ultimately all my guests.  i have been traveling with those folks for 10 years and gifts from their employer are common place when we travel. usually the gifts don’t illicit much response. but this year each guest made a point of telling me how wonderful each of their nightly gifts were.  of course, the snack basket that you put together was the biggest hit. from my perspective a great value, beautifully presented and delicious. in addition, your local contacts and area knowledge proved invaluable when i needed help tracking down some other items. 

to top all that off, getting to work with you was a real bonus.  such kindness, enthusiasm and attention to detail is not something i am lucky enough to encounter often.  you could teach many a few things about customer service and appreciation. maybe in your spare time you could write a book? that’s if you ever have any spare time.

i can’t wait to bring another group back to your lovely island so we can again work together.  knowing you are on the team gives me a whole lot less to worry about.
